Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I have one or two trial lessons?
A: We feel that having only one or two trial lessons is too short of a time for new teachers & students, so while we don’t offer trial lessons we do have a three-week trial period to ensure a good placement for prospective students. If after the third lesson, and before the fourth, you need to make any changes to your registration, give us a call and we can work to make any adjustments necessary or refund the remaining lessons in the semester.
This period of time allows both the student and the teacher to get a feel for the learning dynamic. We believe that a period of three weeks allows for the student to become immersed both in their lessons and within the school setting, and allows time for the instructor to create a curriculum designed around the specific needs and goals of the student.
Q: Do your teachers come to our homes?
A: No, all lessons and classes take place at our school as we have feel that it’s the most conducive environment for students to be successful on their musical journey!
Q: What if I miss a lesson?
A: If a lesson is missed, all students are guaranteed one ‘for-any-reason’ private lesson makeup per semester, which is already built into the Academic Calendar. In the event of instructor cancellation, students are guaranteed a makeup session for private lessons and classes, or a refund at the end of the semester/academic year. Makeup lessons/sessions are not provided for students missing group classes.
Q: Do you offer a senior discount?
A: Yes! We offer a discounted lesson rate of 10% off as a part of our a life-long learner program, which is available to our students age 65+ and is for private lesson instruction only.
