A Dedicated Leader and Advocate of Community Music Education
Clarinetist Paulette Bowes, Executive Director Emerita, is an advocate for the community music school model and has been instrumental in All Newton Music School's (ANMS) rich history. Joining ANMS in 1978 as an educator, she gradually expanded her role to become the Executive Director, shaping the organization's ethos for almost four decades.
Paulette brought a unique blend of musicianship and leadership to her role. Her 38-year tenure at ANMS is marked by innovative initiatives and inclusive programs that responded to the evolving landscape of music education, meeting the needs of students of all ages, levels, and abilities.
Beyond expanding the school's programs, Paulette has been a driving force in increasing ANMS's concert offerings, often featuring world-renowned musicians, local performing artists, and more. These concerts continue to enrich the school's musical environment and have been accessible to students and music-lovers across the greater Newton area, further solidifying ANMS's commitment to 'Music for All.'
