Youth Recitals

From your lesson studio to the stage…

Performing a piece you have been learning and rehearsing for months can be exciting and rewarding. We feel performing in a safe and welcoming environment is all part of your All Newton Music School education.

Recitals are an enriching experience, and we offer many opportunities to practice your performing skills each semester.

Showcase Live Youth Student Recitals will be held a few times a month at ANMS:

  • Wednesday Evening Youth Recitals will be held at 6:30 PM, with piano accompaniment available for students.

  • Saturday morning recitals will be held at 11:00 AM, with piano accompaniment available for students.

Online recital sign-ups for Spring 2025 are now available!

To be featured in the Youth SHOWCASE Live Recitals:

Benefits of playing on a recital:

  • Set a goal, and reach it. Knowing a performance is around the corner is often the best motivator for productive practicing. The weeks leading up to a performance are often filled with focused rehearsals, reinforcing the skills learned in private lessons.

  • You can do it! Learning to overcome nervousness surrounding performing is a rewarding experience. This is a skill that translates to all aspects of one's life. Onstage at All Newton, much like giving a presentation as an adult, learning to overcome your fears is an important [musical] milestone.

  • Become a role model. The younger and less experienced students have an opportunity to watch and listen to more advanced students play. The younger students discover what is on the horizon as they continue to hone their technique.

  • Accomplishment and pride. Having pride in your work is a very important aspect of studying music. Sharing your hard work and music with others is one of life's joys. There is nothing like the feeling of completing a recital and realizing you are proud of yourself
