Q: Can I have a Trial Lesson?

A: Yes! We know how helpful having trial lessons are when feeling confident in your investment in any music education. Once you have completed tuition or enrolled in our installment plan, the first three weeks of your semester are considered a trial period.

This allows the proper time for the student and teacher to get a feel for the learning dynamic. ANMS families feel that having only one trial lesson is too short of a time to make an informed decision. The three weeks allow the instructor to begin to design a curriculum around the specific needs and goals of the student and for the student to get a feel for how private lessons at a community music school are special.

You can enjoy having the flexibility to decide within the first three lessons. Let us know before the fourth lesson if you wish to withdraw, and ANMS will issue a refund for the remainder of the semester.

Q: Do we get makeup lessons?

A: Yes! All students are guaranteed one ‘for-any-reason’ private lesson makeup per semester, this is built into the Academic Calendar. In addition, you are guaranteed a makeup lesson any time the instructor cancels for private lessons and classes, or a refund awarded at the end of the semester/academic year. Make-up lessons are not given for students missing classes/group lessons.

Q: Where do I rent an instrument?

A: Renting a quality string, woodwind, or brass instrument for private lessons is easy, affordable, and will kickstart your child's music education.

Registration Process:

Once you have a confirmed instructor and lesson time, a few business days before your first scheduled session, you can expect a phone call from the Registar. We will set up an account for your family and will put together an invoice. This process takes about 10 minutes. 

Below is a summary of tuition information. Students may enroll anytime during the semester, and the tuition will be prorated accordingly.

Annual Registration Fee $45 per family

Private Lesson Tuition per semester for 2022-2023

Each semester is 16 weeks.

 30 Minute Lessons: $882
45 Minute Lessons: $1,219
60 Minute Lessons: $1,539
